iOS 11 is packed with a lot of exciting features and changes that are worth your time. However, Apple’s latest iOS version has its own issues that may ruin your day. One such issue is Weather Widget not working. We have heard a lot of complaints from iPhone and iPad owners that Weather Widget fails to work after installing iOS 11 on their device.

In reality, this is not the first time that iPhone and iPad owners are facing this issue, as it once emerged back in the days of iOS 9. Luckily, there is a simple workaround for fixing Weather Widget not working issue without the need for an additional app to be installed on your device.

In this guide, we have a couple of tricks that help you fix Weather Widget not working issue on your iPhone. Before we begin, update your device first.

How to fix Weather widget not working issue on your iPhone running iOS 11

  1. Make sure you have added Weather widget to your lock screen

If Weather widget fails to work in iOS 11, there is a good chance that you have already removed the widget from your home screen.

Step one: First off, swipe right from left to enter your lock screen, then scroll down to the bottom and hit Edit

Step two: From here, you will see a list of all the widgets that have been added to your lock screen, then locate Weather and tap on the Plus button to the left of it to add the widget to the lock screen

Step three: Hit the Done button at the top right corner of the screen and then reboot your iPhone. Once you device finishes booting up, check if the problem is fixed.

  1. Make sure your Weather app has access to your location

iOS allows you to see which apps are using your location. Allowing the Weather app to access your location helps the app stay up to date. Here is how.

Step one: Launch the Settings app and then hit Privacy

Step two: Hit Location Services and tap on Weather

Step three: Now just simply hit Always to complete the task.

  1. Reset Location and Privacy

If the problem still persists, the best shot is to reset Location and Privacy. Doing this will reset your location and privacy settings back to factory defaults, meaning that your data remains the same.

Step one: Open Settings and then hit General to proceed

Step two: Hit Reset and then select Location & Privacy

Step three: Tap on Reset Settings from the pop-up menu to confirm your action.
