How to Pair Your Apple Watch

When setting up your Apple Watch for the first time, it will require you to pair it with your iPhone. Pairing your devices is very easy.

  • Make sure both your iPhone and Apple Watch are turned on

  • On your iPhone, download the Watch app

  • Open the Watch app and tap “Start Pairing”

  • Set up your Watch as new, or restore from an available backup

  • Follow the setup instructions to configure your watch

You will now select your preferred settings, such as Apple Pay usage, Siri, or passcode.

How to Unpair Your Apple Watch

Sometimes, there are some bugs that you cannot use your Apple Watch with your iPhone, you have to unpair your Watch from your iPhone.

  • Open Watch app and locate your Watch

First, access your Apple Watch by opening the Watch app. Next, select your device at the top and tap on “i” symbol next to the thumbnail. Select Unpair Apple Watch.

  • Disable Find my Apple Watch if needed

Next, you will be asked to enter your iCloud password to turn off Find my Apple Watch. You should turn this feature off first before disconnecting both your devices. After that, the unpairing process will continue.

  • Wait for the process to finish

This process might take you 20 minutes or more. Once done, you will see the Apple logo with a ring around on your Watch. When the ring completely closes, it means the process is done.
