Facebook is the number one social network with more than 2 billion users worldwide. The company has been working on improving its app for years to take on other competitors out there. One of the highlight features added to Facebook lies in facial recognition system.
Facebook’s move aims to fight against fake accounts using your photos and find photos you are in (but have not been tagged). In reality, facial recognition is not something new to Facebook, as it has used the feature to suggest tags.
While this is a great addition to Facebook, a number of users find it annoying. If you happen to sit in the latter group, then you can easily turn it off. For some background, Facebook has recently added an option that lets you disable the feature.
In this guide, we are going to walk you through the steps to turn off Facebook’s facial recognition feature. Before proceeding, make sure you now have the latest version of Facebook app on your phone.
