Your deleted files can be stored for up to 30 days in iCloud, even if you have removed them from your Trash, giving you enough time to decide what you are going to do next with your files.

Steps to recover deleted files from iCloud
If you accidentally remove an iCloud file on your Mac, it will automatically move to your Trash. If you remove it from the Trash, then you still can recover it. Here is how you can do this:
Step one: First off, you need to launch Safari on your Mac and head to iCloud.com
Step two: Once you are in, enter your Apple ID username and password to proceed
Step three: Next up, all you need to do is to click on Settings and click on Restore files under Advanced section
Step four: Once you are done, select the files you wish to restore or you can restore all of your files by clicking Select All option
Step five: Click Restore Files to complete the task

Steps to recover contacts from iCloud
In reality, Apple doesn’t allow you to recover individual contacts from your iCloud, but you can restore one of the backup archives that you have created in iCloud. Here is how you can do this.
Note that restoring older backup will remove any recently added contacts, so we recommend you transfer all of them to your Mac before moving ahead.
Step one: Launch Safari on your device and head to iCloud.com
Step two: Next up, enter your Apple ID username and password and click on the arrow button to proceed

Steps to recover videos and photos from iCloud
Step one: Launch Safari on your device and head to iCloud.com. Once you are done, enter your Apple ID username and password to proceed
Step two: Next up, click on the arrow button. After that, click on Photos and Albums
Step three: Once you are done, all you need to do is to click the Recently Deleted album and hit Select Photos at the top
Step four: Select all the photos you wish to recover and click on Recover to complete the task.
